The IRS has published a roster of plug-in and fuel-cell vehicles that may qualify for new clean vehicle tax credits if purchased by eligible taxpayers in 2023. The list encompasses vehicles from 19 manufacturers and the maximum manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) limit for each vehicle category. However, it’s important to note that inclusion on the list doesn’t automatically guarantee eligibility. Additionally, to qualify, the vehicles must have undergone final assembly within North America and must not exceed the following MSRP thresholds:
- $80,000 for vans, SUVs, and pickup trucks.
- $55,000 for all other vehicle types. For an up-to-date compilation of eligible vehicles, please visit irs.gov.
